HOW-TO: Greyhat WiFi repeater - hack a day

Well, us indian’s have it tough when it comes to Wi-Fi.

We have thick concrete walls which cause the signals to dip by 30% for each wall encountered.

And cordless phones, metal cupboards add to the misery.

 So I have a Wi-Fi router in the bedroom, works fine there, but I can’t use my Laptop in the living room.

Have two Routers, thought i will use one as  a Repeater. Looked it up. Seems I shud have had a Linksys router - with its ROM being all-opensource and stuff - so lot’s of hacks available to make it work in Client mode.

Also, I need Three, not Two!

Hmmm…might as well do the wiring and set up the Router in a central location so that it’s available all throughout the house.
